What is the Journal for the Study of Religions and Ideologies ? J.S.R.I. is an international on-line publication of SCIRI (the Seminar for the Interdisciplinary Research of Religions and Ideologies) and SACRI (the Academic Society for the Research of Religions and Ideologies). It is a peer-review academic publication intended for professors and young researchers interested in the study of religions and ideologies.
J.S.R.I. encourages interdisciplinary approaches engaging the following domains: religious studies, philosophy of religions, ethics, political philosophy and political science, anthropology, sociology, interreligious dialogue and communications theory. All articles must explore the religious dimension of the issues covered.
J.S.R.I. is an open-access journal published on the internet, with three issues per year. The languages in which materials can be published are English and Romanian.
JSRI does not provide authors with offprints of published materials, but we will notify you by email when your manuscript is published online

Manuscripts
Articles
Articles submitted for publication normally range from 6000 to 10,000 words, preferably written in English. We also publish a small number of articles written in Romanian. Articles must not have been previously published or be pending publication elsewhere.
Texts must be accompanied by:
- an abstract (10 lines),
- up to 10 key words,
- the author's biographical information (professional title, didactic position, institutional affiliation, contact information, and email address),
- a list of the author's main publications (1/2 page),
- a digital photo in .jpeg or .jpg format (optional).
Materials can be sent via e-mail, as an attachment, formatted as Microsoft Word 7.0, 6.0, or RTF, to s_c_i_r_i at yahoo dot com The text should use the Times New Roman font, 12 pt, and a pagination of 1,5 lines.
The editors advise you to consult with a native English speaker concerning the fluency of your text before sending it.
Bibliographic references should be formatted according to the Chicago Manual of Style. Please do not send the text to JSRI before consulting the Chicago Manual of Style and editing the text, the endnotes and the references accordingly. See the examples of Chicago-Style Citation at this link.
Book Reviews
Texts should range from 1500 to 2000 words.
Texts must be accompanied by:

- a digital photo of the book cover in .jpeg or .jpg format
Notes
1. The author assumes all responsibility for the ideas expressed in the material published. 2. The authors have the obligation to respect all rules concerning the law governing copyright. 3. All texts are reviewed by two experts. The review process is expected to take 2-3 months or more in some cases. The editors may ask for revision and may require reformatting of accepted manuscripts. 4. Due to the high volume of manuscripts being submitted we do not send editorial comments for unpublished texts unless we hold a paper longer than eight months.
Rights retained by JSRI authors
- JSRI holds the copyright of all published materials. However, authors have the right to use all or part of their texts and abstracts for their own personal use and for their teaching purposes. - Authors have the right to use all or part of the text and abstract, in the preparation of derivative works, extension of the article into book-length or in other works, and the right to include the article in full or in part in a thesis or dissertation or books. Authors are kindly asked to provide acknowledgement of the original publication in JSRI, including the title of the article, the journal name, volume, issue number, page numbers, and year of publication. - For use in non-commercial situations there is no need for authors to apply for written permission from JSRI in advance.
