Research in religions and ideologies, dialogue across communities, and cooperation between academic and civic life.
The Academic Society for the Research of Religions and Ideologies (SACRI) is a non-profit, non-governmental, autonomous juridical person with no patrimonial purpose. Its activities bring together academic research, education, dialogue and civic engagement in the study of religions and ideologies.
Mission
SACRI promotes quality research in the study of religions and ideologies, supports inter-religious and inter-confessional dialogue, encourages social and institutional communication, and develops educational activities that support religious and political freedom and pluralism.
The association seeks constructive alternatives for improving communication and majority-minority relations, establishing dialogue and mitigating conflict.
SACRI also organizes, informs, supports, rewards, promotes and represents researchers in the fields of religions and ideologies.
Types of activities
Permanent programs
Specialized research, academic training, journals, seminars and debates.
Temporary programs
Community-oriented initiatives promoting civic participation, education and communication, especially with young people.
A central concern of SACRI is to bridge the civic and academic spheres through programs that encourage the exchange of ideas, knowledge and practices.
