Alterity and Interreligious Dialogue
About
The program of conferences and debates aims at
promoting cultural and religious diversity, in the framework of religious
affirmation as global phenomenon. During a four weeks period, significant
professionals from the region and from abroad will approach specific
dimensions of alterity/ otherness and of dialogue, both as research
topics and as challenges of the present day, the whole methodology
being an interdisciplinary one.
Promoting the cultural and religious diversity
is not a value per se, but rather a pre-requisite of living together.
Tolerance and dialogue should be the major factors of the dynamism
of inter-community relations and of bringing together the people.
To this respect, our program seeks that, by analyzing the inter-religious
dialogue, to seize both its profound dimensions, and its integrative
ones, both the symbolic aspects, and the practical ones.
